Bundled in Love (2021)

Beaded on stabilized beading foundation using a combination of modern and vintage beads, this piece beaded for a Learner-niece’s wedding carries many layered teachings and stories personal to the giftee.

Special details of note: vintage white hearts, 24k-plated firepolished beads in tiny berry buds, and the use of various sizes (8s, 10s, 11s, 15s, 18s) and finishes (matte, opaque, silver-lined, colour-lined, metallic, pearlized) to create texture in this small-scale piece. Snaps were affixed to the back of the piece to allow for removal for cleaning and care of the wool blanket, which was sourced from Topsy Farms on Amherst Island.
